cucurica - Nils Panik´s Doku-Photo-Gallery
Welcome to my photo gallery with works from 2005 until 2008! Here, you may see blue shells from the French Mediterranean Sea or strong faces with character from the heart of Slovakia. The extensive collection includes furthermore fictions of Bulgarian moustaches among wide landscapes of Mecklenburg as well as Dutch interiors or Berlin night life.
The name "cucurica" simply comes from the original slavic word for corn. Since my journeys to the marvellous region between Levice & Banska Bistrica , where my father has been born, it became with its fabulous sound a synomym to me for hearty liveliness. Concerning motives I favour the portrait, for people are most bizarr. Loving the playful moment in evoking atmosphere, i stick to a huge contrast & a vibrant colour space.
My personal roots sprout in Rostock at the Baltic Sea. After school in 2000 I came to Berlin, where I got qualified as graphic designer & finally achieved my Bachelor of Arts in Visual- & Motiondesign at the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule in 2008. Right now, commuting between Berlin and Amsterdam, I am working as designer, photographer & editor.
